So I'm going home from a car meet and stop at a light to see this. A man who was probably 77 or so and his wife just chillin on the other side of the street thinking it was a turn lane. They turned on to a 4 lane road and proceeded to do 20 the whole way (The limit is 35). And the entire time, they didn't act like a thing was wrong.

Once you reach a certain age, there should be mandatory yearly DL retesting.
Before said age threshold, there should still be periodic retesting as well. Say every 3-5 years once you obtain your license.
Or, you know, we could continue acting like we don't really give a shit about our elders, and that it's their fault they can't afford to have a driver take them around everywhere.

Many states have tried to implement that kind of law and each time the AARP has done everything possible to have them all shot down, and the states that haven't done that have had the AARP make it clear to them that if they tried, they would unleash their collective old man strength on them.
